Chemical Pre-Treatment For heavily contaminated surfaces, we pre-treat with the appropriate chemistry before pressure washing. This dramatically improves results and reduces the pressure required:Sodium Hypochlorite (15% trade grade): Applied to organic contamination — moss, algae, lichen, mould — at controlled dilution. Breaks down biological matter within minutes, allowing the pressure washer to remove dead material rather than fighting living biofilm. Contains biocidal agents that continue working after the initial clean.Smartseal Driveway Cleaner: A biodegradable surfactant blend designed for hydrocarbon spills — diesel, engine oil, cooking oil, grease, and uncured resin. Applied neat at 1 litre per 2 m2 of oil contamination, worked in with a stiff brush, 5-10 minute dwell, then rinsed. For large area application via jet equipment, pre-dilute to 10-15%.Non-Caustic TFR (Traffic Film Remover): For atmospheric traffic film and diesel soot on concrete and steel surfaces. Safe for children and pets once dry.Smartseal Rust Remover: pH-neutral, acid-free formulation for dissolving rust stains caused by iron-containing fertilisers, metal furniture, or heating system leaks on natural stone and concrete. Applied neat to dry surface, purple colour reaction confirms active dissolution.Soft Wash Alternative For substrates where full-pressure washing is inappropriate — resin-bound gravel, porous natural stone, aged lime mortar pointing, or coated decorative paving — we switch to a soft wash delivery system operating below 500 PSI. The chemistry does the work; the rinse simply removes the residue. Benz Bio Cleanze (50% DDAC concentration, diluted 40:1 to 25:1) provides a spray-and-leave biological treatment that works progressively over weeks and prevents regrowth for up to 12 months.
