Client archetypes
BEEI
The Client Archetypes are BEEI's five occupant profiles, each governed by a dominant anxiety class: Aesthetic, Prestige, Health, Heritage and Structural. They predict how a client perceives decay and what argument will move them — the Prestige archetype responds to kerb value and status, the Heritage archetype to non-destructive conservation, the Health archetype to damp/mould risk. By identifying the archetype, the Scholar-Technician tailors diagnosis, language and protocol to the person, not just the property — a behavioural-science approach aligned with academic research on occupant maintenance decision-making.
