Overexcitabilities (Dabrowski)

BEEI

Overexcitabilities, drawn from Dabrowski's Theory of Positive Disintegration, are heightened modes of responding to stimuli (psychomotor, sensual, intellectual, imaginational and emotional). In BEEI they explain why certain occupants — often the same individuals as the Enthropathological Mind — register environmental decay with disproportionate intensity, and they inform a Universal Access Architecture that communicates the service in ways that neither overwhelm nor dismiss heightened sensitivities. They tie the framework's psychology to a recognised model of cognitive difference.
