Zoological Vectors (Zo-Codes)

ATH

The Zo-Codes classify faunal contamination of the built environment — the animal vectors that deposit, transport or directly damage architectural surfaces. They cover avian guano (a corrosive, nutrient-rich biological subsidy that accelerates colonisation and etches stone and metal), and the broader 'biological subsidy matrices' by which birds, mammals and insects move nutrients and organisms onto buildings. Within the COSMOS record each contaminant carries an organism code (F/A/L/MS/BX/Bc/Zo), an atmospheric vector (V-Code), a meteorological trigger (At-Code) and an intervention (P-Code), with a Forensic Tier (T1–T4) where T4 marks a sentinel species demanding mandatory action.
