Two building stocks fail in opposite directions here. Northampton Sand ironstone bleeds a rust-coloured stain that scrubbing and acid both make worse; the modern render estates grow algae instead. Different substrate, different chemistry, different method. Based at Hartwell in NN7.

What I actually do
Glass and frames get pure water through a fed pole, deionised to below 1 ppm dissolved solids and meter-verified before each job. No detergent, so nothing is left behind to attract the next layer of dust, and it dries without spotting because there is nothing in the water to leave a spot. Render, brick and cladding get low-pressure biocidal treatment, never a lance. Hardscapes get hydro-kinetic clearance and a targeted biocide at a pressure chosen for the substrate — sandstone and limestone paving are soft, and the setting you would use on concrete scars them permanently. Gutters are cleared by high-reach vacuum from the ground, with no ladder resting against your ironstone, your render or your fascia.
