Mould and microfungi don't just sit on a surface — they send fine filaments deep into it, so a surface wipe leaves the living network intact to regrow. Hyphal Lysis is the targeted rupture of those filaments, killing the colony at depth. It is why our fungal treatments last, rather than greening over again within weeks.
Hyphal Lysis (protocol P6) is the targeted rupture of fungal hyphae — the filament network through which moulds and microfungi ramify into and feed on a substrate. Rather than merely removing surface growth, it disrupts the cell walls of the penetrating filaments themselves, killing the colony at depth and slowing regrowth. It is the fungal-specific intervention in the P-Code ladder, deployed where F-Code organisms have established a foothold in porous fabric and a surface wash alone would leave the living network intact.
